The Wichita Art Museum has FREE admission and a FREE Holiday Event planned for its annual Open House on December 6, 2025. On that day, WAM will be a winter wonderland of artistic pursuits, festive performances, and fun all around the museum!
Celebrate the season with the whole family for no cost. As a Wichita mom with two daughters, I love events that offer plenty to do without stretching the budget.
WAM Holiday Open House
What you can expect during this FREE Event:
• Wintry games and crafts
• Miniature train display
• Cocoa bar with customizable toppings
• Photos with Santa and the Grinch
• Storytime with Elsa (12–2 p.m)
• Performances and music from DJ Carbon
• Seasonal artmaking inspired by WAM’s collection
• Take-home goodie bags for kids at the end of the afternoon
We go to this event every year, and it’s truly one of my favorite holiday traditions. Every year, we discover something new to enjoy, whether it’s the crafts, the Kids PLAY Area, the cocoa bar, or just wandering the galleries together.

It is FREE to visit the Wichita Art Museum’s Permanent Collection, with more than 10,000 works on rotation in the museum’s galleries.
