Many of the local shopping events on our list will feature food trucks or concessions. In addition to antiques or vintage finds, you’ll also likely find local handmade products and art. In almost all cases, you can interact directly with the artist, maker, or finder of the items.
Biggest Monthly Flea Market in Wichita
A monthly(ish) flea market near Wichita started at Century II and now takes place at different locations around Wichita. Admission is usually $4 for a single day or $5 for a weekend pass. Flea Markets, Barn Sales, and Vendor Fairs around Wichita, KS:
There is just something about barn sales and local markets around Wichita that makes them fun to shop. You never really know what you are going to find, and that is half the experience. From vintage pieces and handmade goods to fresh produce and one-of-a-kind finds, there is always something unique. Many of the vendors are local, which means prices are often better than big retail, and you can usually find a deal if you take your time and look around. It is one of the easiest ways to support small businesses while still sticking to a budget and walking away with something special.
I always laugh because I remember walking around a barn sale with my mom, telling her all about a date I had and how I kind of liked this guy. Fast forward, and that same guy is now my husband. These little markets really do turn into more than just shopping trips… they become memories too.

The Bartlett Arboretum in Belle Plaine, Kansas has great events beginning April 14/15 with Art at the Arb (this is at the same time as Tulip Time, but a separate event), concerts from spring to fall, and ends the 2018 season with Ecofest at the Arb, October 28.
