Theaters around Wichita have plans to show classic (and newer) holiday movies this season. Immerse yourself in some festive flicks on the big screen with these fun movie events around town!
(FYI, The Orpheum usually has a BOGO sale on its Anniversary Film Series around this time of year. Great gift idea for someone who loves classic movies.)

- Boeing Dome Theater at Exploration Place

Starlite Christmas Carload Season Finale We thought the season was already over but apparently no! Get overloaded with the sugar and Christmas classics at the drive-in theater this December 10 or 11, 2021, beginning at around 7:10 p.m. The Starlite is showing Elf, The Polar Express, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and Gremlins. Carload price is just $15.
Elf is showing at the historic Augusta Theater on December 10 & 11 at 7:30 p.m. each evening. Tickets are just $6.50 and you get to see the theater’s newly restored 1935 neon art deco marquee, which is a project they’ve been working on for a good while! Augusta movie lineup
Bisagnos Free Movie with Santa is also happening at the Augusta theater on December 11 at 10 a.m. Tickets are free. I don’t know if we know what the movie is! But it must be Santa-approved since he’s going to be there.

National Lampoon’s A Christmas Vacation will be showing as the Holiday Movie at the Dome at Exploration Place December 16, 17, and 18. I believe VIP tickets are already sold out, but general admission tickets, which are $15 each may still be available. And here’s an idea! After the movie, drive around Wichita looking at all the Griswold-worthy holiday lights.
A Christmas Story is showing at the historic Augusta Theater on December 17 & 18, 2021. Tickets are just $6.50 and you get to see the theater’s newly restored 1935 neon art deco marquee, which is a project they’ve been working on for a good while! Augusta movie lineup

Just an FYI so you’ll know. We visited Cabela’s “Wonderland” and unfortunately it is NOT what is being advertised in the video playing. They do not have room at the Wichita one for all of that wonderful stuff 🙁 So sad when we took all 5 grandkids! Looks like a lot of fun for those stores that have that type of room!
Aww! That’s disappointing. Thanks for letting us know. You mean the additional activities? They did have Santa though, right? And some kids’ crafts, I hope.
