You don’t have to travel as far as Kansas City or Oklahoma to shop outlet malls for name-brand merchandise at bargain prices. Where to find the best shopping deals. Wichita outlet stores and off-price retailers offer deals that are as good or better, and you’ll save money on gas getting there.
If you still want the whole “outlet mall” experience, a short drive south to Oklahoma City will fit the bill – just understand that you may not be getting the best deal. Sometimes off-price retailers, or even the clearance sections of high-end department stores, have the better prices.

The old outlet store downtown location is gone, and has been replaced by a Cocoa Dolce location… which is about the only acceptable replacement, because chocolate. But we’ll miss the little Coleman museum that was inside it.

Massive store with a lot of discounted clothing, housewares, shoes and more. They have a whole section of men’s suits. This place can be a bit of a treasure-hunt, but the bargain prices when you find something make up for the time you spent searching.

Note: You have to have a lot of patience to shop this store, in my opinion. Items (especially clothing) are frequently damaged or stained beyond repair. However, when my budget was micro-small and I had more stamina, I scored some real deals – like designer suits for work. I still love to pop in from time to time to see what bargains are there.

This store is a real mish-mash of things. Depending on what you’re looking for, you might find a good deal. But I believe you just have to chance upon an item you need. They have books, automotive, flooring (as in carpet and tile!), bedding, cleaning supplies, outdoor/gardening, you name it.
