Playing Across the Park: Wichita Symphony Free Concerts in the Park
Musicians from the Wichita Symphony have partnered with Wichita Park & Recreation to bring you a FREE, family-friendly, all-ages event called Playing Across the Parks.
The more we learn about Wichita, the more we realize we have so much to uncover! And that is especially true when it comes to free or inexpensive live music events happening all around town.
The venues that offer live music are as varied as the artists playing them. (We’ve found genres ranging from noise rock to gospel, and some we never could quite nail down).
Some of these events will be at concert venues, but others will keep you entertained at restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries. They can range from casual jam sessions and open mic nights to full-on concerts and band performances.
One thing they all have in common is the music.
Wichita’s music scene is happening, and it can be tough to keep track of all the performances. This is where we’ll try to list all the free local music performances we find, though, and you can always help us out by sharing your favorites in the comments!
