We have so many holiday shows, Christmas pageants, concerts, and other holiday entertainment in Wichita, and it’s difficult to keep track of them all! Here’s where we’ll be posting new ones as we find them.
In this list you’ll find productions from community theaters, concerts from local musical groups, student performances, Christmas movies on the big screen, and more. Some will be family-friendly while others are just for grown-ups! We also have a listing of Wichita Nutcracker performances as well!
All of them will be fairly inexpensive, and if we find out about a discount on the typically more expensive events, we’ll let you know about those here too.

Friends University Christmas Candlelight Concert.
This classic Wichita holiday event is back at the Friends University Sebits Auditorium stage, featuring The Singing Quakers and the Concert Choir. The choirs will be joined by students from Friends’ band, jazz, dance, and art programs.

WSU Candlelight Concert
Join us in welcoming the holidays with the Wichita State University Choral Department. The Madrigal Singers, Concert Chorale, WuChoir, and ShockerChoir, under the direction of Dr. Ryan Beeken and Dr. Tom Wine, will surely get you ready to enjoy the holiday season!

A children’s show recommended for ages 5+ and performed by both children and adults. This is the 41st anniversary of this outrageous comedy.

Wichita Nutcracker Shows
While there aren’t many discounts or coupons for Nutcracker performances, we’re happy to have organizations in Wichita that provide excellent quality shows. Just remember! Before buying tickets to any Christmas show, check Groupon to see if they have any available discounts.
Here’s another money-saving tip: Instead of buying an expensive Nutcracker ornament at a show, why not hit up Michael’s or Hobby Lobby beforehand for a nice-but-less-expensive one? Your kids are definitely going to want one after seeing the ballet!

Short & Suite Nutcracker
Arrive early and stay late for festive fun and photo ops! Santa visits the theatre 45 minutes before each show with wish lists for kids. After the performance, cast members greet guests for photos and autographs. Enjoy the candy-coated lobby, shop souvenirs and pointe shoe kits, and grab sweet treats from the “Sweet Shoppe.”
