Not everyone opts for the traditional large-family Thanksgiving dinner; some prefer to go out for the big meal. If you’re planning on skipping all the cooking and dish-cleaning this year and looking for places to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner on the go, we’ve got you covered with our annual list of restaurants open on Thanksgiving in Wichita, KS. If you are cooking at home, here is our list of Thanksgiving Turkey Prices around Wichita.
We advise you to call ahead and ask about making reservations, as many of these opportunities will likely fill up quickly between now and Thanksgiving.
Admittedly, some of the Thanksgiving buffets stray pretty far from our definition of “cheap.” A few are definitely splurges, but they’ll free up your time and energy for more fun with your family.

Where can you Pre-Order Thanksgiving Dinners in Wichita
If you were wondering where to find fully cooked Thanksgiving dinners in Wichita, KS to order ahead, we have listed here the ones we know of. Be sure to check when these need to be ordered by!
Note: The week of Thanksgiving is too late to pre-order most Thanksgiving dinners. At the very latest, you’ll want to allow 24-hour notice at places like Dillons or Cracker Barrel. If you forgot to plan ahead, scroll back up to see restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day.
I do my best to share current info, but make sure to call before because things do change.
Pre-made Thanksgiving Feasts to Order Ahead
Cracker Barrel is offering a Heat n’ Serve Thanksgiving Feast that serves anywhere from 2-10. A 24-hour notice is required. Pre-order and get a digital bonus card when you schedule pickup for 11/24 or 11/25. Hassle-free holiday meals start at around $110 for the smaller option. (Price and selection might vary depending on location.)
Firebirds Wood Fire Grill you can get a turkey or ham meal with sides or a turkey & ham combo. These meals are $159.95
Golden Corral in Wichita has your Thanksgiving covered. If you order soon-ish, you can even get a $10 off coupon. Golden Corral’s Holiday Meals To Go include either roasted turkey, glazed ham, or bone-in pork roast with a variety of traditional sides, a dozen yeast rolls, and a whole pie. Pick up is available starting November 4. Must order 72 hours in advance.
Two Brothers BBQ has Holiday Family Specials with ham or turkey for $79.95. A Holiday Feast for 10-15 people ($179-$199) or a Super Holiday Feast for 16-24 people ($339-$369) that includes ham or turkey plus sides, desserts, and rolls. They have other options as well. A note on their menu says prices are subject to change.
Dillons is a go-to choice for Thanksgiving dinner. Their delicious options include just about every traditional, classic dish you could want. The prices are usually great too, and start at $80. You can also order extra sides a la carte. Order online so it’s even more convenient than before.
Whole Foods Market in Wichita has a classic roast turkey dinner for 4 that starts around $100, The meal includes creamy mashed russet potatoes, classic holiday herb stuffing, sea salt and cracked pepper green beans, turkey gravy, and a zesty cranberry orange sauce. Bagatelle. If you order a week ahead, you can get their special Thanksgiving take-home pies, cheesecakes, and seasonal breads. Let their dedicated local bakers and team to handle the baking, so you can enjoy a joyful and stress-free Thanksgiving celebration.
Bite Me BBQ is a great place to get your smoked turkeys or hams. Make sure to call now to reserve your Thanksgiving centerpiece, and don’t forget the sides! (316) 729-2904. They have a whole Smoked Turkey, Prime Rib, Whole Hams, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, green beans, you name it!
Hog Wild Pit BBQ Thanksgiving meal once again includes 3 options for your convenience. You can purchase a whole slow-smoked turkey (about 12 lbs) for $55, a whole cooked boneless ham (approx. 4 lbs) for $50, or a complete holiday meal including all the fixin’s for $130. They are closed on Thanksgiving Day, so call ahead and pick up your order early.
Delano BBQ is a great place to get your turkey or ham. You must preorder and last year their turkey sold out very early! Hams and turkeys are $60 (approx. 10-12 lbs, pre-smoked weight).
Restaurants Open on Thanksgiving in Wichita:
Golden Corral‘s Thanksgiving holiday buffet will, as you might expect, include everyone’s favorites, like carved roasted turkey, carved holiday glazed ham, and carved holiday pork roast, along with all the classic Thanksgiving sides and mouthwatering pies. (Updated 2025)
Cracker Barrel will be open on Thanksgiving Day with special in-store Thanksgiving meals from 11 a.m. to close. You can find turkey and cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, biscuit or corn muffin, cranberry relish, refillable coffee, tea, or soda, and pumpkin pie. This bountiful feast meal ranges from $9.00 up to $16.99. They’ll also have a limited regular menu available that day, including country-fried steak, meatloaf, chicken and dumplings, and a few select veggies and sides. Cracker Barrel also has a heat-and-serve option you can order ahead.
Chisholm’s Wichita inside the DoubleTree by Hilton Wichita Airport offers a Thanksgiving buffet brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $22-$48 per person. The buffet will have a carving station with turkey and ham, savory entrées like chimichurri skirt steak, garlic herb chicken, and tilapia in lemon caper cream sauce, classic sides, salads, a kid-friendly section, and a dessert station with several kinds of pie and more.
Dave and Buster‘s website location information shows the Wichita, Greenwich Rd. The store will be open. There’s no indication of a special menu.
Delano’s Diner will be open, and they have an excellent menu for whatever you crave, but go early, as they will close at 2 pm.
Denny’s will be open all day on Thanksgiving. You can enjoy the turkey and dressing dinner (includes carved turkey breast, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, two sides, and dinner bread), or you can pick from the regular menu options.

IHOP will be open on Thanksgiving as well, with regular hours and regular menu items, which now include a homestyle turkey & stuffing dinner or a homestyle turkey and stuffing melt.
Magnolia Cafe will have a Thanksgiving lunch and dinner. Call to make reservations: (316) 260-1356. You can expect your traditional favorites.
Siena Tuscan Steakhouse will be offering a Thanksgiving brunch for $59. Enjoy breakfast favorites like made-to-order omelets, signature French toast with berries, and herb-roasted potatoes. Enjoy our chef-carved honey citrus ham with cranberry orange glaze and indulge at our pasta station with pomodoro or pesto cream sauce and an array of vegetables, chicken, and bay shrimp. Scotch & Sirloin has a special Thanksgiving meal that is $48 and will be going from 10:30 am – 3 pm. Come enjoy a cozy, family-style Thanksgiving meal with turkey, prime rib, all the classic sides, and desserts to share.
Spangles is open on Thanksgiving Day.
Spears Restaurant’s Thanksgiving meal is back this year, as delicious as ever. They’ll serve their regular breakfast menu from 8-10 a.m., but from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., they’ll serve the famous Spears’ Thanksgiving buffet, which includes a pie buffet. Yum, yum! The Thanksgiving buffet last year was only $18.99 per person or $9.99 for kids ages 6-10. Kids 5 and younger are free. Drinks separate.
Village Inn will be open on Thanksgiving from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., including the locations on W. Central, Rock Rd., S. Meridian, Derby, and Hutchinson. If all you want is a pie, be sure to pre-order it!
Vora Restaurant is taking reservations for its Thanksgiving brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 27. The menu includes turkey, prime rib, smoked salmon, as well as breakfast items, pasta dishes, sides, breads, salads, desserts, and assorted sweets. For adults, the brunch is $42; for children aged 4-11, it’s $18. You do need a reservation.
Walt’s East kitchen will be open from 5 pm to 10 pm.
Whiskey Dicks will have a traditional meal with sides, but they open at 3 pm
YaYa’s Euro Bistro will offer a Thanksgiving buffet for $45, but it sells out quickly, so make your reservations early.
6S Steakhouse will offer a classic Thanksgiving buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring traditional Thanksgiving favorites. The carving station will include turkey, prime rib, and salmon; they’ll also have sides, salads, fresh-baked dinner rolls, and desserts. Adult buffet is $45 per person, and $20 per child under 12 years old. Call (316) 631-6667 or go to their website to reserve your seat. You can also order a full Thanksgiving dinner for takeout.

Thanksgiving Restaurants That Are Closed:
These Wichita restaurants that used to offer holiday meals have now closed:
Pig In Pig Out BBQ Before it closed, this local BBQ place had a Thanksgiving meal for up to 12 for $175. The meal included either 3.5lbs of sliced ham and 3.5lbs of sliced turkey or a whole turkey. 6 quarts of sides (choose from mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, green bean casserole, Mac and cheese, or stuffing, and 12 dinner rolls.
Stroud’s Wichita Thanksgiving meals to go were hot and ready to pick up curbside. The three options included generous portions of country ham or roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and more. Prices: Dinner for Two ($69.99), Dinner for Four ($139.99,) or Dinner for Twelve ($369.99)

They are a buffet restaurant and serve excellent food.

No Thanksgiving meal at Spears this year? They are really good & usually the most reasonable.
It might have been too early when I first put this list together, but I didn’t see that they were open. HOWEVER, that doesn’t mean they aren’t. I’ll check again on Monday just in case.
Anyone find out about Spears yet?
I heard that they were open with a buffet, but I didn’t get to confirm it before I left town.
