Calling all garlic lovers! Orie’s Farm Fresh will be hosting their 3rd annual Garlic Fest Saturday, September 28 through Sunday, September 29.
Orie Farms is an urban farm that has a variety of local Kansas grown and raised produce and strives to be as organic and natural as possible. Besides garlic, Orie’s Farm Fresh also sells a variety of other vegetables and eggs from free-range hens.
The Garlic Fest event will host a variety of local chefs, artisans, ranchers, makers and food vendors who will be adding their own garlic flair to the food. You will be able to purchase everything from bison burgers with garlic aioli to garlic ice cream. For the brave of heart, there will also be FREE garlic shots.
Live garlic cooking demonstrations and talks on how to grow your own garlic will help you become a pro with this flavorful bulb. The vendor market will feature fresh produce, local art, and more.
This family-friendly event will also have a kids area complete with hay rack rides, a barrel train and other activities. There will also be live music to enjoy.
Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets and enjoy the day!
Orie’s Garlic Fest will be held at Eberly Farm again, which is located at 13111 W. 21st St. N. Admission is $10 for adults. Kids 12 and under are FREE. Since this is an outdoor event, check the Facebook event page in case the weather looks iffy, for any changes.
