Sharing is caring!
Are you a dog lover like I am? College Hill Park is hosting Dog Days of Summer, where the doggies can swim in the pool. Wichita Park & Recreation and the Kansas Humane Society are teaming up to throw a paws-itively fun event for Wichita dog lovers and it’s happening Monday, August 11, 2025, at College Hill Pool starting at 5:30 PM.
Dog Days of Summer is a special one-night-only event where dogs take over the pool for an evening of splashing, paddling, and tail-wagging fun. The event marks the end of the pool season, and it’s the perfect way to cool off with your furry friend, plus it helps a great cause!

College Hill Pool Dog Swim Event
- From 5:30 to 6:00 PM, the pool is reserved for small dogs only.
- At 6:00 PM, all dogs are welcome — but expect a crowd!
- Water chemical levels will be safe for dogs only (humans may wade in up to their knees).
- For safety reasons, children are not permitted in the pool during the event.
- Dogs must remain on a leash when outside the pool.
This fun-filled evening is also a fundraiser for the Kansas Humane Society. By participating, you’ll help provide care and resources to animals in need across the Wichita area.
So grab a towel, leash up your pup, and get ready to make a splash. This is one end-of-summer party you (and your dog) don’t want to miss!
