- Click Clack Boo! is based on the beloved children’s book series by Doreen Cronin. In this musical comedy, the farm animals are eager to throw a Halloween party, but Farmer Brown thinks Halloween is far too scary. The question is whether Farmer Brown will spoil their fun or if the animals can convince him that Halloween is more about laughter than fright. This production has become a Wichita Children’s Theatre and Dance Center Halloween tradition, offering families a chance to enjoy costumes, comedy, and a delightfully spooky good time together.

Halloween Drive-Thru in Maize
From the Maize Recreation Commission. Pre-register your vehicle by October 20 to ensure you receive a sweet treat (a full-size candy bar). Local sponsors will also be handing out other goodies, including some treats for your pets to enjoy. You can decorate your car, if you like. Costumes are optional but fun. Fire & EMS vehicles will be on-site with lights flashing. New this year: at the end of the drive-thru, head into the spooky forest if you dare. (It’s family-friendly but might be scary for some.)

Halloween Lights and Haunted Displays in Wichita
The best Halloween displays are famously in the College Hill district in Wichita. Surprise the kids, grab some hot chocolate, and take a stroll through some of Wichita’s best Halloween displays and light shows.
Wichita has some fantastic and spooky neighborhoods that go all out with Halloween decorations, like College Hill. There are also houses around town that take it a step further by programming full Halloween light shows, similar to the Christmas displays where you tune in to a certain radio station to watch the lights dance to music.
