If you’re looking for a fun and free way for the kids to celebrate Halloween, the Linwood Rec Center Howl-O-Ween Party is back this year, and it’s going to be all treats and no tricks!
Kids can enjoy carnival games, snag plenty of Halloween candy, and brave the spooky haunted room. Costumes are encouraged (please leave the weapons at home), making it a perfect opportunity for kids to showcase their Halloween spirit before the big night of trick-or-treating.
Events like this are such a gift for Wichita families. As a mom, I love that my daughters can celebrate Halloween in a safe space that doesn’t cost a dime. It’s a fun way to burn off energy, get into the spirit of the season, and create memories that don’t come with a big price tag.
This family-friendly Halloween party will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Linwood Recreation Center in south Wichita. Designed especially for kids in grades K–5, the event is filled with activities that are both safe and exciting.
