Season Launch Party at Old Cowtown Museum

Sharing is caring!

Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita will be kicking off its 2025 season with a 75th Anniversary Season Launch Party!

This special event invites guests to step back into the 1870s with immersive historical reenactments, hands-on activities, and family-friendly entertainment that brings the Old West to life.

In honor of the museum’s founding in 1950, the day also features nostalgic 1950s-themed fun, including popular music from the era, classic children’s games, and a lively trivia contest.

Food vendors will be on site serving up local favorites, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the museum’s historic church—the very first building preserved and relocated to Old Cowtown—adds to the day’s significance.

The fun starts at the Visitor Center on Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a sneak peek at all the events planned for 2025.  They’ll have special activities throughout the museum for everyone to enjoy.

Admission to Cowtown is FREE for members and just $15 for adults, $14 for senrior, and $10 for youth during the season launch party. This is a kid-friendly and fun event.

Guests can meet museum staff, board members, and volunteers, learn about upcoming events, explore sponsorship and volunteer opportunities, and take advantage of discounted memberships.

My family and I have been twice and it’s a day full of history, entertainment, and local flavor. You’ll see shows, meet characters from upcoming signature events.
