Scare yourself silly this month with several classic (and new) horror movie screenings at various theatres around Wichita. Below is a list of a dozen or so Halloween-themed films that are guaranteed to keep you up at night.
2018 Scary Movie Screenings
Friday, October 11, 2019
Warren Old Town Theatre Grille
Wichita Big Screen is holding its 8th annual October at the OldTown Horror Festival this October. (See link for movie times/prices.) Movies include some great classic horror films.
The Starlite is now closed. So sad! They announced it in a press release on October 16. You get more movies for your money at Wichita’s Starlite Drive-In theater and this October 5 they’re showing Venom, which looks like a pretty scary movie to me. Admission is only $13 carload!
The Orpheum Theatre
The Orpheum will have a Halloween classic on the big screen. On Thursday, October 25, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Hocus Pocus. The film starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are $7 ($6 for seniors, students, and military). A reader commented that this screening is now sold out.
And continuing an annual tradition of several years, the Orpheum will also show The Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight on Friday, October 26. General admission is $10 plus $5 for the participation kit.
**Keep checking back because I’ll add to the list as I find out about more Halloween movies.
