The new guide, Evolve, combines events, activities, and classes from CityArts, the Wichita Public Library – making this a fantastic resource for free & cheap activities in Wichita, KS!
The Wichita Park and Recreation Department offers a large variety of affordable classes and activities for kids, adults, and senior citizens.
You’ll find sports clinics and leagues (for both youth and adults!), fitness classes, dance, art, and theater instruction, cooking, home repair, foreign language and more, as well as special recreational activities throughout the season.
These affordable classes are available for all ages at recreation centers throughout Wichita. There’s lots of fun stuff in there!
These days, you can also register for classes online, which is super convenient. The classes and activities tend to fill up quickly, so you’ll want to register as soon as you can.
Registration is open now and many classes start soon.
Each season they release a new Activities Guide. You can view it online here or pick up a copy at Wichita Public Library branches, area Dillons stores, and at any of the nine Wichita recreation centers.
