UPDATE: Regal Cinema’s reopening date has been pushed back from July 10 to July 31, and this may change again! Even after they do reopen, be sure to double-check the latest information before you head out to take advantage of a deal. 2020 has been a weird year, and we’re not sure if or when this $5 movie deal is coming back.
This is one of the best deals in town for seeing new movies on the cheap. The five-dollar movie nights are still going on even since Regal purchased the theater!
On Wednesdays, Regal Crown Club members pay only $5 per ticket to see first-run movies at the Warren Old Town Theater Grille in downtown Wichita.
This is a really fun theater where you press a button on the arm of your seat to have food or drinks brought to you.
The special $5 movie night excludes Director’s Suite seating and 3D movies, but you can get 3D movie tickets there for only $8 on Wednesdays. It also excludes movies from Sony Pictures.
There’s a free parking garage next to the theater, and plenty of shops to browse in the plaza. If you plan on ordering food from the theater grill, you’ll want to be there half an hour in advance. I hear they always have a jazz pre-show to enjoy.
During the summer, movies at the Old Town Warren start as early as 3 p.m.
I was told by the General Manager that “the Old Town Warren Theater Grille is the only all-digital, full-service luxury theater in the country.” See? Who says you can’t be living large when you’re living on the cheap? Doesn’t Wichita rock?
I did ask about the policy on their website that says, “No Patrons under 17 allowed after 8:00pm.” It doesn’t mean you can’t bring your kids to a movie that ends after 8 p.m., just that no one under 17 should be arriving after 8 p.m.
If you can’t make it on Wednesday nights, check out $5 Ticket Tuesdays at Northrock 14 instead, or plan a weekend at the re-opened Starlite Drive In movie theater. Or you can still get some great deals on movies with the Regal Crown Club membership.
