Join in the magic of the season! The Valley Center Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Christmas in the Valley event on December 6 and 7, 2019 at McLaughlin Park in Valley Center.
This year, the focus of the event is Hometown Christmas and it will be bigger and better than ever! This year, the events are spread out over two days.
December 6 Valley Center Tree Lighting Celebration
Friday, December 6, the events will take place in the 100 block of West Main. The festivities will start at 7 p.m. with church groups carolling at three locations: coffee corner, LeVenue corner and Cottage Market corner. Then everyone will move to the tree lighting area at 7:20 p.m. where the Valley Center high school Christmas Brass Ensemble & Madrigals will perform. At 7:35 p.m., Santa will arrive while everyone sings Jingle Bells. Then the mayor will speak and light the tree. The madrigals and Christmas Brass will lead everyone in singing Silent Night. At 7:50 p.m., everyone is encouraged to go inside LeVenue to listen to the Jazz band at 8 p.m. The evening will conclude with a showing of Charlie Brown Christmas.
Since this is an outside event, don’t forget to bring your chairs and blankets!
In case of inclement weather, all events will be held in LeVenue and this will be the schedule:
7 p.m. — Church choirs
7:35 p.m. — Santa
7:35 to 8 p.m. — Jazz Band
8 to 8:30 p.m. — Madrigals
8:30 p.m. — Movie

December 7 Santa & Special Treats for Kids
On Saturday, December 7, kids will get to visit with Santa, take pictures and get some special treats from 2-4 p.m. inside LeVenue. LeVenue is located at 109 N. Main St in Valley Center.
Christmas in the Valley Schedule of Events:
Dec. 6 – Community tree-lighting celebration
100 block West Main, Valley Center
7- 7:20 – Church Groups Caroling (one at coffee corner, one at LeVenue Corner and one at Cottage Market Corner … all church groups then move to tree area as audience)
7:20-7:35 – Christmas Brass & Madrigals share songs from tree area (near Main Street Coffee)
7:35 – everyone sings Jingle Bells while Santa arrives
7:40 – Mayor speaks and lights the tree
7:45 – everyone sings Silent Night – led by Chistmas Brass and Madrigals
7:50 – audience encouraged to go inside LeVenue to get warm and hear Jazz Band
8:00 – Jazz Band in LeVenue and then Movie after
