Annual Veterans Day Program in Wichita

The Wichita Veterans Day parade was last weekend, but the annual ceremony to celebrate and honor U.S. military veterans veterans is happening on Wednesday.

Veterans Memorial Park of Wichita will conduct its annual Veterans Day Program at the Park this Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11 a.m.

The program will include the flag lined walkway, a current Army First Sgt. as the keynote speaker, presentation of colors by McConnell AFB Color Guard, playing of the National Anthem and Taps, a Rifle Salute and the recognition of all Veterans present and their Branch of Service.

Veterans Day at the Park will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Wichita Veterans Memorial Park.

The program is expected to last 30 to 45 minutes. You will want to bring a lawn chair if anyone in your party has trouble standing for long periods of time, as these events usually have limited or no seating provided.

Wichita Veterans Memorial Park is located on the river and there is a small parking lot nearby. Additional parking is usually available right along 2nd Street during events like these.

It will be a great opportunity to honor the veterans in our lives. For more information about this Veterans Day event, visit www.WichitaVeteransMemorialPark.com
