Wichita on the Cheap

Live the Good Life for Less & Never Miss a Deal

Bel Aire Spring Festival

The Bel Aire Rec Center will host a Spring Festival and Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 28, 2026. This is a big hunt with more than 20,000 eggs.

This family-friendly special event includes egg hunts, an egg stroll (for the littles), kite flying, demos, a bounce house, food vendors, and more. This is a bring-your-own-basket event!

See the full list of Easter egg hunts in Wichita.

The highlight of the event will be the egg hunt, with tens of thousands of eggs! This is one of the largest egg hunts in the area. Kids will be separated into age groups so everyone can have fun.

The Bel Aire Spring Festival runs from 1-3 p.m. Here’s the schedule they posted on their Facebook event:

Egg Stroll – Ages 2 & Under
1:30-2:00
This is an area designated for the little ones to hunt at their own pace. We would love for all the little ones who show up to get eggs so please only take a few since this is a stroll, not a hunt.

Egg Hunts
2:00 p.m. – 3-5 years
2:15 p.m. – 6-8 years
2:30 p.m. – 9 & up

16 surprise eggs will be hidden among all of the others, so be sure to check your eggs before leaving!

The Spring Festival and Easter Egg Hunt are free and open to the public. You will want to bring your own Easter egg basket, kites (or buy yours from Wings of the Wind when you get there), and money for food trucks. You’ll probably also want to bring lawn chairs or a blanket and a camera.

The Bel Aire Recreation Center is located at 5251 East 48th Street North in Bel Aire, Kansas.

This family-friendly and fun event is free and open to the public.

Date: March 28, 2026

    1. I didn’t know about the Kechi one! That’s awesome. There’s also a list here of more Easter activities in Wichita (including the ones at All Star).

  1. The Bel Aire Rec Center hunt was at 2! We missed it because we went at 2:30. Please double check other times before posting so parents don’t have to explain why the bunny didn’t leave any eggs for them!

    1. I’m sorry you guys missed it, Alicia. I do my best to keep up with the event dates and times, but sometimes schedules change and I don’t always hear about it. When I remember, I add a disclaimer to that effect, but I guess I just need to make sure to always include it. I hope you get to make it to another egg hunt this year! There are quite a few listed here: http://wichitaonthecheap.com/easter-egg-hunts-wichita/
