The Bel Aire Rec Center will host a Spring Festival and Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4, 2020.
This family-friendly special event usually includes an egg hunt, an egg stroll (for the littles), kite flying and demos with Wings of the Wind, face painting, petting zoo, inflatable bounce house, and more. This is a bring-your-own-basket event!
See the full list of Easter egg hunts in Wichita.
The highlight of the event will be the egg hunt, with thousands of eggs for kids (and this year, adults too) to find! This is one of the largest egg hunts in the area. Kids will be separated into age groups so everyone can have fun.
The Spring Festival runs from noon-3 p.m. Here’s the schedule they posted on their Facebook event:
Adult Egg Hunt – Ages 14+
1:00
Adults can search for 3 different eggs hidden on the Bel Aire Recreation property. Ages 14+ can start looking for the eggs at 1:00. Clues will be posted on Facebook the day before and on the day of the event. Happy Hunting!
Egg Stroll – Ages 2 & Under
1:30-2:00
This is an area designated for the little ones to hunt at their own pace. This is a stroll for the little ones, so please only take a few to ensure that all the littles get eggs.
Egg Hunt Fields – Get a wristband that matches the color of field for your age group when you arrive.
2:00 – 3-5 years
2:15 – 6-8 years
2:30 – 9 & up
The Spring Festival and Easter Egg Hunt are free and open to the public. You will want to bring your own Easter egg basket, kites (or buy yours from Wings of the Wind when you get there) and money for food trucks if they have them. You’ll probably also want to bring lawn chairs or blanket and a camera.
The Bel Aire Recreation Center is located at 5251 East 48th Street North in Bel Aire, Kansas.

Kechi always has one, 2 saturdays before Easter. And, All Star Sports too.
I didn’t know about the Kechi one! That’s awesome. There’s also a list here of more Easter activities in Wichita (including the ones at All Star).
The Bel Aire Rec Center hunt was at 2! We missed it because we went at 2:30. Please double check other times before posting so parents don’t have to explain why the bunny didn’t leave any eggs for them!
I’m sorry you guys missed it, Alicia. I do my best to keep up with the event dates and times, but sometimes schedules change and I don’t always hear about it. When I remember, I add a disclaimer to that effect, but I guess I just need to make sure to always include it. I hope you get to make it to another egg hunt this year!
