The plan was that the four days of fun planned for the fall festival in Andover, Kansas would still happen. In 2020, Greater Andover Days was scheduled for October 1-4.
Unfortunately, according to a notice on their website, most GAD events had to be canceled. There is ONE exception though, and it’s a good one. Here’s the announcement from their website:
“However, we are pleased to announce that there will still be a fireworks show on Saturday, October 3. Thanks to Andover State Bank and Wholesale Fireworks, our generous sponsors of this show for many years, we will be lighting up the night sky with our annual fireworks show. With the help of the additional co-sponsors at Laham Development and Vornado Air, we are able to produce a bigger show this year.”
Greater Andover Days (GAD) typically includes a parade, fireworks, KidFest, live entertainment, fishing clinic, beer garden, ice cream social, hot dog eating contest, business expo & craft fair, carnival, car show, and more.
Admission to the festival is a Greater Andover Days button, which is sold in advance at local businesses for $3. At the festival, buttons are $5. Entry is free for kids 5 and younger. Fees may apply for some activities and events.
Most events are at Andover Central Park at 1607 E. Central in Andover. Other information at the City of Andover website here.
