Greater Andover Days is the perfect family-friendly event for all ages, whether it’s a date night or getting out of the house.
Mark your calendars for September 27 – 29, 2024, for Greater Andover Days (GAD)! This annual event features a variety of activities, including a lively parade, spectacular fireworks, KidFest, live entertainment, a fishing clinic, a business expo, a craft fair, a carnival, a car show, and much more.
Be sure to get your buttons early to take advantage of a $2 per button discount! Buttons and bracelets will be available for $3 through September 26 at several locations. (We’ve listed them below.)
After that, the price goes up. Once the Greater Andover Days fall festival starts on Friday, September 27, you’ll get your button for $5 at the gate.

Admission to Greater Andover Days:

Josh Abbott Band on September 27 – Separate Ticket Needed
Josh Abbott Band is bringing their Somewhere Down the Road Tour to Capitol Federal Amphitheater®, powered by Evergy, with special guests Stoney LaRue and The Wilder Blue to kick off Greater Andover Days on Friday, September 27 evening. Matching their intricate arrangements and immediately catchy melodies with all the raw vitality of a freewheeling bar band, Somewhere down the Road ultimately captures an essential act at the height of its powers–and fully affirms Josh Abbot Band as a formidable force in modern country music.
This concert is NOT included in your GAD button admission. You will need to purchase a separate ticket for this special show at selectaseat.com. The carnival will still take place in Central Park, Friday, September 27 – Sunday, September 29 as a part of Greater Andover Days.

Come out, unwind, and relax in the park on Sunday, September 29. This includes a fun
run/walk around Central Park, yoga, friendship bracelets, landscape painters, demonstrations and talks on stage, Rosie the Rabbiter, workshops throughout the park, community wish tree interactive art, rock scavenger hunt, Tanganika Wildlife animals to meet, Love on a Leash therapy dogs, a mad scientist, and so much more!

Admission to the festival is a Greater Andover Days button or wristband, which is sold in advance at local businesses for $3. At the festival, buttons are $5. Entry is FREE for kids 5 and younger. Fees may apply for some activities and events. Get your wristband or button early for the best deal!

History of Greater Andover Days:
Greater Andover Days is a three-day festival that occurs the 4th weekend after Labor Day weekend.
The event offers handfuls of fun, food, and entertainment for the entire family! Over 5,000 people attend GAD annually. The festival includes a food court, KidFest, parade, fishing clinic, car show, business expo/craft fair, carnival, live entertainment and a fireworks show in Central Park.
The First Greater Andover Days Festival took place in 1967 as an effort to unify the citizens of Andover through a shared festival experience.
Carnival rides and games are Friday and Saturday. GAD events are located within the Andover Central Park at 1607 E. Central unless otherwise indicated on the schedule.
