National Donut Day Wichita

National Donut Day — or National Doughnut Day, as some spell it — is the first Friday in June. According to a press release from LaMars, the observance was started in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army in honor of the women who brought donuts to soldiers behind the front lines in World War I.

This year National Donut Day is on Friday, June 3, 2022. We already know about a couple national donut chains that are observing the delicious holiday by offering a FREE donut to customers.

Sugar Shak Daylight Donuts

This sweet local shop on North Tyler Road in west Wichita will have a FREE GLAZED DONUT on National Donut Day. Check their Facebook page to see more info about the deal. Sugar Shak Daylight Donuts is located at 2121 N Tyler Rd #113, Wichita, Kansas 67212 and they’re only open from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. This is one of the favorite donut shops in town and the people who run it are so nice. Krispy Kreme National Doughnut Day

To celebrate National Doughnut Day this year, Krispy Kreme fans can enjoy any doughnut of their choice FREE on June 3 at participating locations — no purchase necessary. Plus, true Krispy Kreme fans show their pride with a Krispy Kreme hat for 50% off on National Doughnut Day. 

Pro tip: You can also get a free Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut whenever their Hot-n-Ready light is on.

Hurts Donut

For every donut you purchase at Hurts on National Donut Day this year, you’ll receive a raffle ticket for the big prize of FREE donuts for a year. Info

Support a Local Doughnut Shop!

This is a great year to celebrate National Doughnut Day by supporting a local shop with your donut dollars, whether or not they’re offering any discounts. You could celebrate by buying a dozen and bringing them to work. (Especially if you’re still working from home.)

Any excuse for buying a donut is a good one, right?

On June 4, 2021 The Donut Whole will recognize National Donuut Day by offering a free OG Buttermilk donut with the purchase of a brewed drink while supplies last – so get there quick! While the store is open from 7 am – 3 pm, this deal is probably not going to last to the end of the day. 🙂
