Free carriage rides in Old Town Square Wichita

Yippee! Bring the family to Old Town this season for a little local shopping, fun and FREE Christmas activities.

The Square will be decked out for the holidays with a beautiful tree and sparkling lights. There will be Black Friday & Small Biz Saturday shopping, the annual tree lighting, horse-drawn carriage rides, visits with Santa and more this year!

Friday, November 29: Enjoy FREE horse-drawn carriage rides (with Clydesdales!) in Old Town Square from 5-8 p.m. on Black Friday

Saturday, November 30: Start the day by supporting local and shopping at Old Town merchants on Small Business Saturday.   

Then, at noon, visit with Santa and see the Wichita Police Department Clydesdales in the Square! 

And stop by Wichita Etsy Local at Hotel at Old Town between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. that day!

Sunday, December 1: Visit the Square for the big annual Mayor’s Tree Lighting, and then hop the trolley to head to the Boathouse for Lights on the River and a big fireworks show.

Friday, December 6: How much fun is date-night with a FREE horse-drawn carriage ride in Old Town Square? 

Saturday, December 7: Enjoy an Indoor Farmers Market in Old Town at the new Wave venue.

Friday, December 13: Visit the Square again for Free Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides from 5-8 p.m.

Saturday, December 14: Your second opportunity this month for a little local shopping at the Indoor Farmers Market in Old Town.

Friday, December 20: Here’s your last opportunity this year to ride a horse-drawn carriage through Old Town Square if you haven’t made it out yet. Again: FREE!

Saturday, December 21: Pick up some last-minute gifts at this third December indoor farmers market at WAVE venue in Old Town.

 

Old Town Square is at 2nd and Mead. You’ll find shopping, restaurants, the City Arts gallery, and the Old Town Warren Theater.

Remember that you can find your parking spot and then get around the rest of Downtown, Delano, and the Douglas Design District with the free Q-line Wichita.
