Flavor & Barbecue Fest is a brand-new, free event coming to Wichita this October, and it’s shaping up to be a big one. Hosted by Wichita Festivals, the same team behind Riverfest and Autumn & Art. This new two-day celebration will bring the heat to the area near Century II. Attendees can expect a mix of competitive and amateur barbecue cook-offs, plus fun activities that make it more than just a food event. With Wichita Festivals behind it, this isn’t just a pop-up weekend; it’s a new festival that’s likely to become a local favorite.
As always, free events like this are especially exciting for Wichita families who love getting out and enjoying something new without spending a lot. Good food (you have to purchase your own food, but the event is free to attend), a central downtown location, and no admission cost make Flavor & Barbecue Fest an easy “yes” on the calendar.
