Exploration Place will celebrate Hispanic heritage and culture with the annual Fiesta Hispana event on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025. The festival includes an exciting day of traditional entertainment, regional Mexican cuisine, and family activities.
Fiesta Hispana is free to attend but does not include admission to Exploration Place exhibits, Live Science Shows, or Dome Movies. It’s a great event, and the actual event is FREE, so mark your calendars!
Visitors will enjoy crafts, play games, savor delicious food, dance to lively music, and admire low riders. They will also enjoy indoor stage performances, including mariachi bands, folklorico dancers, machine dancers, singers, a fashion show, and more!
Exploration Place is located in downtown Wichita near the Keeper of the Plains. It has permanent and traveling exhibits all year long. Design, Build, and Fly is my daughter’s favorite exhibit because she loves playing with airplanes.
Fun Facts about Exploration Place:
- Exploration Place Park Run is FREE every Saturday.
- Exploration Palace is also hosting a new FREE Outdoor Movie Series this Fall.
- Shop & Grub is another FREE event sometimes hosted at Exploration Place.
- My favorite event is the Drone Light Festival, which also happens in the Fall. This event does cost, but if you do the carload pricing and break it down per person. It’s a deal.
