If you’ve held out on buying a membership for Costco here in Wichita, this deal may be what you were waiting for.
Right now there’s a Groupon for Costco membership that will save you some money.
At Groupon: $60 for Costco, plus $40 shop card and $40 off online
The deal includes a one-year Costco Gold Star membership for $60 (regular price), but includes a cash card and coupons that reduce the effective cost of membership by a lot. Here’s what you’ll get:
- A One-Year Costco Gold Star Membership with auto-renewal of the Costco membership using a Visa® credit or debit card
- A membership card for the Primary Cardholder and one additional Household Card for anyone living at the same address, over the age of 18
- A $40 Costco shop card (gift card is valid towards any purchase, including gas)
- $40 off any order of $250+ on Costco.com
Is this a real deal? Yes. You do need to read all the details but this is a valid and money-saving deal. One “catch” that I saw was that you have to agree to auto-renewal in order to get the extra perks of this Groupon. Since I’ve had a (different) warehouse membership continuously for years and years, this wouldn’t be a deal-breaker for me. The membership saves me more money than it costs me. And with the extra discounts, this is *almost* like getting your first year of membership for free.
