What better way to beat the winter doldrums than a Bob Ross-themed day at the Wichita Art Museum? For February’s Family Artventure, the Museum is hosting a Bob Ross festival! It’s free and open to all ages.
Ross was an American painter, art instructor, and television host of “The Joy of Painting” that aired from 1983 to 1994 on PBS. Enjoy a binge marathon of Bob Ross painting “happy little trees” on WAM’s big screen.
Try your hand at a landscape painting. Explore WAM’s collection and find your favorite landscape painting. Come wearing your favorite Bob Ross-inspired outfit.
Please note: Due to construction, WAM’s main entrance is closed. Enter the museum on the east side of the building through the Living Room doors. Look for the Tom Otterness sculpture Dreamer’s Awake near the doors to the temporary entrance.
In addition to WAM’s parking lot, visitor parking is available across Museum Boulevard south of the museum.

I see that you are a “WordPress teacher”. Does that mean that you teach others how to use Word Press, or does it mean that you are teaching some subjects via WordPress? thank you for your time in response to my questions. ~ Patt Gateley
Hi Patt! I used to teach WordPress classes (how to use WordPress) in the community, but now my teaching consists of training publishers of “on the Cheap” sites in other cities. I really enjoyed teaching those classes here in Wichita though!
If you want to learn WordPress, I do recommend WP101. It is very helpful! One thing it won’t help with is getting your hosting set up, so if you’re planning to start a website, you’ll need to have someone else help you with that. (Some hosting companies may help you get set up.) Otherwise, WP101 is great!
