The Wichita Foundation Amphitheater at Exploration Place is now open. The groundbreaking was on March 6, 2024. The outdoor theater is located along the Arkansas River outside Exploration Place. The theater will showcase the nightly Ring of Fire show at Wichita’s iconic Keeper of the Plains sculpture. It will also provide a stunning venue for live performances, free family movie nights, and other community events.
The Wichita Foundation committed $1 million to the construction of the outdoor theater, which opened in fall 2024.

- The amphitheater is a blend of art, architecture, and nature.

Fun Fact: Exploration Place opened in April 2000 and welcomed a record 403,543 visitors in 2024.
