The 50th Riverfest is happening this year in downtown Wichita, and you can now buy your button.
Remember the $10 adult Riverfest button? Yeah, just like your gas and your milk and your eggs, it’s going up in price this year. The new price will be $15. The child’s button will still be $5 though, so that’s good.
And from April 18 to May 5, 2022 you can still get your Riverfest button for the nostalgic price of $10. Wichita Festivals has announced that the early-bird discount for Riverfest buttons is back. Buying your buttons early will save you up to $5 per button.

Starting May 5, full-price buttons ($15 for adults and $5 for children) will be available at area QuikTrip stores. Admission for kids five and younger is free.
Your Riverfest button gets you into ALL concerts and most events FREE for all nine days.
Riverfest 2022
The Wichita River Festival will be held June 3-11, 2022. It will feature diverse stage shows, fireworks, fun along the Arkansas River, athletic and other contests, and engaging activities for all ages.
Besides perennial favorites, the 2022 Riverfest will include new events. This year, attendees can celebrate the 50th Riverfest with the Budweiser Clydesdales, Downtown Get Down, and Rivalry on the River – a school based competition event. Returning to the festival are the Safelite AutoGlass Sundown Parade, Fidelity Bank River Run, Spirit Aerosystems Salute to Military and the Capitol Federal Fireworks Finale.

Where can you buy Riverfest buttons at the earlybird price
Beginning April 18, you can purchase your button at Meineke Car Care Centers and get the early-bird discount.
Meineke has centers in Wichita, Derby, and Hutchinson:
Meineke Car Care Centers

- 2344 S. Seneca St.
- 1810 W. 21st St.
- 3430 N. Woodlawn St.
- 660 N. Webb Rd.
Derby
- 1910 N. Nelson Dr.
Hutchinson
- 1223 E. 30th Ave.
You can also pick them up at the Wichita Festivals office, 444 E. William, Wichita.
The discount is good through May 5; after that the buttons go up to full price.
For longtime Wichitans who are still getting used to the idea of a $10 Riverfest button, the earlybird pricing is a gentler intro to the new pricing. If you took a visitor, however, and plopped them down at Douglas and Main and told them they could get in on the fun for just $15, they would be amazed.
The Wichita River Festival is Wichita’s biggest party, lasting nine days and centered on the downtown river area. It includes live concerts and other entertainment, fun activities for kids and adults, and festival food.
The new button price of $15 is reasonable. But you still should get the discount while you can. š Use the extra $5 for a gallon of gas to get you downtown.
Too bad meineke is closed on Sunday… Trying to get our buttons and can’t because they are closed and Today is the past day of early bird sales… ?
The below info was on your site with theRiverfest info. Went today Feb. 28th as stated below to the 21st street store and they donāt have them.

I may need to make it clearer then – the early-bird discount is already available online; however, the in-person sales don’t begin until April 5, as it states in the article:
“Beginning April 5, you can purchase your button at Meineke Car Care Centers and get the early-bird discount of $7 for adults and only $3 for children ages 6-12. (No button is required for children 5 and younger.)”
“Or you can pre-order your buttons online right now at the early-bird price and either have them mailed to you or pick them up at will-call. Online fees do add 50 cents to the price of each button, however.”
I’m also not sure why it’s showing the All Day Thursday, February 28 part. That actually wasn’t intentional, so I’m going to have to look into why the calendar is showing it that way! It’s supposed to show up as starting April 5 at the Meineke Car Care Centers, so I think there’s a technical glitch. I apologize for your wasted trip!
Are you aware that the City wide garage sales have a date of 2017?
Yes. We’re still updating it for 2018. We have to call all of the little towns in the area to get this year’s dates.
There is a $3.82 service fee to buy online making the button $10.82 which is more than full price.
There was no service fee when I first looked at it, because you pick the buttons up. Maybe it has changed. I will go look at it again. Thanks, Kat.
Ohhh. Yup. You are right! There is no *delivery* fee, but there is a service fee. š Okay then. I should have known. There are always service fees.
So we’ll be marking our calendars to pick them up in person then! Thanks again, Kat.
If one purchases a riverfest button online, is the bjtton msiled to the purchaser. If not, why would one purchase a button online?
According to the ticket site, the buttons will be waiting for us at the event. (I need to find out where their “will-call” will be.) The reason I would want to purchase a button online is that I can get it now for the earlybird rate, rather than have to go pick one up when they go on sale. It’s just easier for me. But they’ll have them on sale for the earlybird rate at physical locations in Wichita if that’s easier for you. I’ll update the where and when as soon as I find out.
