Visit the giant Hotdog on Wheels in person and take your picture with the Wienermobile in Wichita. The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will visit Exploration Place on the entrance plaza on Friday, September 27, 2024. This event is FREE and open to the public. Have you seen the Wienerbmobie? Two years ago, I saw it in person for the first time, and my daughter absolutely loved it.
While marking this on your calendar to see the Wienermobile, add the FREE Outdoor Movies Series at Exploration Place this October. This new movie series, RiverFlix, will be shown in the amphitheater.
About the Wienermobile:
- The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is an iconic, hot dog-shaped vehicle that has been a fun and quirky part of American culture since it first hit the road in 1936.
- Its a 27-foot-long Oscar Mayer Hotdog vehicle.
- The first version was created by Oscar Mayer’s Nephew, Carl G. Mayer.
- Drivers of the Wienermobiles are known as “Hotdoggers” and often hand out toy whistles.
- There’s a button inside that, when pressed, plays 21 different versions of the Oscar Mayer jingle, including rock, jazz, and bossa nova style. I am going to ask the “Hotdoggers” to see if this is true.

*Update- Injust got a call from Dillion’s manager who verified that the Wienermobile will be at the 21st location on Sunday not Saturday.
