Moms get in FREE to Botanica on Mother’s Day! This is the best deal every year and a great activity for Mother’s Day in Wichita. Walk the gardens and enjoy the spring blooms. This would be a relaxing day and a wonderful time to spend with Mom. Each Mother’s Day, Botanica has extra activities like food trucks, bars, and extra activities.
Bring Mom to the gardens on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and she’ll get free admission.
Pro Tip: You can bring your food into Botanica, so pack a picnic and enjoy one of the many great seating areas around the gardens. Last year, my husband surprised me by picking up Old Mill Tasty Shops chicken salad sandwiches and bringing them to Botanica. I got free admission and enjoyed my favorite sandwich in the gardens. I need to remind him to do that again!
Mother’s Day at Botanica
Celebrate the beauty of spring and honor the mothers in your life at A World of Blooms: Mother’s Day Celebration at Botanica. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through 20 acres of stunning gardens while experiencing a variety of special events and activities.
- Garden Show & Expo: The Garden Wichita Area Garden Council will host an open-air garden expo featuring area garden clubs and local garden and art vendors.
- Eat: Pack a picnic or enjoy a bite from local food trucks
- Drink: Enjoy their Mom-osa bar and a cocktail as you scroll the garends.
- Activities:
- Buzz into the Bee House or ride the Khicha Family Carousel for $3.
- Multicultural Festival on the Grand Lawn – Hosted by the Wichita Area Asia Association and The Pistils, this festival showcases cultural performances, artisan vendors, and interactive experiences.
- You can play one of the large yard games, feed the Koi fish, walk the Chinese Garden of Friendship, and so much more.
This is a perfect time of year to visit Botanica, when many of the flowers are in bloom, and the weather is usually just right – not too hot and not too cold.
There are a few places throughout the gardens to stop and rest, or you can make your way back to the patio and find tables and chairs.
The Khicha Family Carousel is open, and tickets will be available to purchase at the admissions desk or in the Carousel Pavilion. Take your mom on a spin around the Old Joyland Carousel.
