Celebrate your love of beer (or bier), sausage, and all things German at this year’s ICT Bloktoberfest. It’s a little bit Oktoberfest combined with a Wichita Block Party.
The festivities for this all ages event will begin on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Wichita Boathouse and continue Saturday from noon until 10 p.m.
Admission is free, although Beer Fest tickets will be available on Friday for $40 ($60 for VIP).
The boathouse area will be transformed into a giant biergarten with live music, German cuisine and food trucks, games, and more!
Beer Fest tickets are available to purchase for Friday night and include sampling 99 different local and regional beer options, a tasting stein, DJ E Polka Party, patio games from 6-9 p.m. at the boathouse.
On Saturday, October 3, the party will continue from noon to 10 p.m. with live music, pop up market, eating contest, stein hoist, wiener dog race, and WBC pumpkin smash.
General admission is free. For more information and a schedule of the event times visit the event Facebook page.

Will the games be free? I have two kids and they love the games, but canāt always afford them.
That’s a good question, Ashley. I’m going to have to look for the answer to it.
Okay, so I checked on this and they said that the carnival games will be at various vendor booths throughout the event. (I guess last year they had a dedicated area with carnival games?) Anyway, I’m still not 100% sure if all the carnival games will be free, but they told me there will be plenty of free family- and pet-friendly fun. (Wiener dog races, lol!)
I would plan on bringing some spending money for food at the very least, if it was me. š
I really appreciate you Carolyn for setting this up. A lot of single parents love when you post free events. I just love it all. Again, thanks.
Aw, thank you for the kind words, Dee! I feel like there are so many fun, free things to do here in Wichita that somebody ought to be gathering them all into one spot! I’m so glad it’s helpful to you.
