The Great Plains Renaissance Festival and Wichita Scottish Festival is scheduled for September 26 and 27, 2020 at Sedgwick County Park.
We don’t know if this will go on as scheduled. The spring RenFest had to be postponed until fall, so we’re just waiting to see what will happen.
If it does go on, at the Great Plains RenFest you’ll find “…jests and jousts, fire breathing daredevils, aerial acrobatics, falconry, bagpipes, singing pirates, The Wichita Highland Games , Black Oak Shillelagh and other fine medieval Celtic music, The Scallywags Pirate Comedy (voted best in the Midwest), kings and queens, vikings, Amira Dance Productions belly dancers, Kansas Authors Pavilion/renaissance in reading, fairies and fairy tales, fantastic artists, marvelous merchants…”
…and from what I hear, fried turkey legs bigger than your forearm.
