Free Community Shred Days
Look for the Free document shredding at Office Depot coupon (it’s available now until April 28).
New! There’s also a coupon in the Spring 2018 Wichita Plus coupon book good at the UPS store in west Wichita that gets you paper shredding for 89 cents a pound. Good until June 6, 2018.
Kansas Attorney General Free Shred Events March 5-10, 2018 Shred events are scheduled during National Consumer Protection Week in Concordia, Manhattan, Garden City, Pittsburg, Emporia, Leavenworth, Lawrence, Hutchinson, and Newton, and Topeka.
AAA Cover Your Assets event at 5 locations (Lawrence, Topeka, Manhattan, E. Wichita and W. Wichita) on April 21. Free shredding drop-off, travel tips, home maintenance tips, vehicle maintenance checklist, and more.
Capitol Federal Free Shred Day Wichita Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Bradley Fair branch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Be sure to note the amount and type of documents that will be accepted for shredding.
Underground Vaults and Storage has scheduled free shred days at banks across Kansas, including Wichita, Hutchinson, Newton, McPherson, and more. Some events are for members/customers only.
INTRUST Bank Free Shred Days INTRUST has four Wichita-area free shred events scheduled for 2018, beginning with an April 14 event in El Dorado. All of the shredding events listed below are on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Bring your documents and dump them into the bins.

AARP Free Shred Event You’re invited to bring up to three boxes of confidential documents to be shredded onsite at the Dillons on 135th and Maple in west Wichita on May 14, 2018 between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition to shredding, they’ll be collecting donations of non-perishable food items to give to the Kansas Food Bank. Cambridge Market Community Shred Event Bring up to 5 boxes of personal material to be shred for free. NAID AAA certified. Follow the lanes of traffic and stay in your vehicle and they’ll get the material for you.

The File Depot is having a free shred time on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. You can bring up to 5 banker boxes for free shredding; each additional box is only $5 each. Wichita Federal Credit Union In 2018, they’ll offer a free shred day at their west office on September 29 from 9 a.m. to noon. I asked, and they told me on Twitter that this free shred day is for the community and not just members-only. Limit 2 boxes per car.
