The Wichita Art Museum book sale is back and will occur throughout the year. Admission is FREE, but bring some money to purchase books. The Friends of the Wichita Art Museum puts on this event.
The Used Book Sale at the Wichita Art Museum is always exciting, offering fantastic deals on a wide range of books. It’s an excellent opportunity to get more for your money, discover rare or out-of-print books, and even find vintage editions. Plus, you’re supporting the Wichita Art Museum by shopping at the sale. Best of all, you can explore new books while enjoying free admission to the museum!
You can expect to see lightly used books on art, zoology, and everything in between. All the processed benefits of WAM’s events and programs. Keep scrolling for all the dates.
The Art Museum’s permanent collection gallery is now FREE. Visitors will no longer be charged general admission to view the galleries, so this is a great time to get some DEALS on books and visit the galleries.

How to Donate to the WAM Mini Book Sale:
Drop Box at WAM:
- A book donation drop box is in the WAM parking lot near the north entrance for your convenience.
Large Books:
- For book donations that are too large to fit into the drop box, please get in touch with our security team at 316-268-4921, extension 250, to arrange a date and time for drop off. You may also email Ryan Meyers at meyers@wam.org. Please provide 2 different date and time options for possible delivery so that we can make sure that we have adequate staff on hand to assist you. Ryan or another museum representative will reach out to confirm the date and time. Please arrive on time for your scheduled delivery. If you arrive late, your delivery may have to be rescheduled.
Book Pick UP:
- Another convenient option for you is to arrange for an FWAM member to pick up your donation. Call the security team at 316-268-4921, extension 250, and leave your name and contact information. A FWAM representative will contact you to arrange a pick-up date and time.
