Friends of the Wichita Art Museum is hosting another READiculas Book Sale on April 26 – 28, 2024. If you haven’t attended one of these, you must. The best part is it’s FREE to attend and includes general admission to the museum. Of course, you must bring money for the book sale.
The READiculous Book Sale is a three-day extravaganza and the Freinds of the Art Museum’s largest fundraising event of the year! They will have a wide selection of gently used books for all ages and interests, including fiction, nonfiction, children’s books, and many first editions, author-signed books, and rare finds. All proceeds benefit WAM’s events and programs. Plus, the museum will have fun events that are perfect for the whole family. This would be a great time to check out the remodeled PLAY Kids Area in the museum, which is FREE.
READiculous WAM Night – Friday, April 26 from 5 pm – 9 pm
- Drop-in Art Making for Adults in the River Lobby
- Come for the READiculous Book Sale and stay for the art making! Explore your creative side by turning discarded book pages into unique works of art in this free, informal program. No artistic skill is necessary, and no reservations are required. Drop by anytime between 6 and 8 pm.
READiculous Family Artventure – Saturday, April 27, from 10 am – 5 pm
- Book Sale from 11 am – 3 pm
- Performances:
- 11:30 – Sonalli Kurlekar, Classical Indian Dancer
- 1:30 – St. Anthony’s Lion Dance Team
- Coloring Station hosted by Get Ya Color On Studios in the River Lobby.
- Drop-in art-making – Turn discarded book pages into unique works of art!
- Check out PLAY
- Discover various beautifully illustrated children’s picture books in the Book Nook.
- Make a bookmark in the Art Lab.
- Tators & Toppings Food Truck outside of the main entrance.

Admission to the Permanent Collection is Always FREE, so you can visit the museum’s galleries after shopping, but traveling exhibits are an additional cost.
The Friends of the Wichita Art Museum holds this sale to benefit the Art Museum.
