Check out the Anji Play area at the Westlink Branch Library. This new play space offers a unique outdoor play experience designed for children ages 3–8. Based on the acclaimed Anji Play philosophy, this self-directed, open-ended learning approach encourages kids to explore, imagine, and choose freely using thoughtfully curated natural materials.

What is Anji Play?
An approach pioneered in China, Anji Play empowers children through hands-on creativity, allowing them to:
- Engage in self-directed exploration
- Develop decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Build confidence through freely chosen activities
Westlink Anji Playground
Location: Westlink Branch Library, 8515 W Bekemeyer St, Wichita
- Outdoor area behind the branch that was part of the 2025 renovation.
Anji Sessions: Multiple sessions will be offered throughout the summer. Check the Westlink Library’s Website for exact dates and times.
- Free drop-in event just show up during scheduled times
- Child-led play with engaging materials like blocks, fabric, and natural objects
- Reflection opportunities for parents and caregivers to discuss what children explore and create
