If you know any 5th through 9th graders who want to make a little extra money mowing lawns this summer, be sure to set aside a few hours during Spring Break for them to take the Youth Lawn Mowing Clinic at the Sedgwick County Extension. The clinic will be held this year on March 22, 2017. Sign up early (before March 10) for a good discount on the registration fee!
The training will include information about types of lawn grasses and their proper care, lawn mower safety and maintenance, and good business practices. At the conclusion of the clinic, participants will be given an information packet, business cards, and a certificate of completion.
Kids will learn:
(1) lawn grasses and their proper care
(2) lawn mowing safety
(3) lawn mower maintenance
(4) lawn mowing business basics
