Hey you DIYers, crafters, bakers, entertainers, inventors, and artists, the Mini Maker Faire is coming to Wichita in April at Exploration Place!
The Maker Faire is an opportunity for makers to showcase their projects and share with Wichita what they are doing and learning. Driven by Make: magazine, the Maker Movement, and MakeICT, the Mini Maker Faire in Wichita amateur artisans of all ages the freedom to showcase their ideas and products in a family-friendly atmosphere. gives freedom to amateur artisans of all ages to showcase their ideas and products in a family friendly atmosphere.
According to makerfairewichita.com, “Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. They are of all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community.”
There are two ways to enjoy Wichita’s Mini Maker Faire: attend the event to see what others are making or participate as a presenter to show what you make.
If you or your group would like to show off your project and introduce others to the maker movement, complete an application here.
If you want to attend and see what others are making, the Wichita Mini Maker Faire will be held at Exploration Place on Friday, April 26 or Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost to get into the faire is included in your general admission to Exploration Place. (If you are an Exploration Place member it’s free.)
