Hole 18 offers a fun challenge to end on with an over-the-pond shot to the basket.

This course had all baskets updated in 2022 which excited much of the local disc-loving community. Known for its good game flow, Garvin allows for a nice stroll through the park enjoying views of nature. A tip here would be to follow the course map so you don’t get confused on where to head for your next hole.
Andover Central Park
1607 E Central Ave, Andover, KS 67002
This course has changed a bit after the 2022 tornado wiped out some of the tree canopy, making the area more open and less technical. However, the quality baskets and concrete pads make this course remain at the top of the list.
Cowskin Disc Golf Course

This course is currently a little rough around the edges with many feeling that the upkeep, lawn, and vegetation maintenance are left wanting. Still with this issue – the course has a relatively high ranking due to its nice flow and challenging game. The low canopy offers a blanket of trees at many holes making it fun, but technical.

This disc course is one of the best for beginners. With a lack of water hazards and large trees, it allows you to easily throw the disc and practice your aim. If you are new to the game or teaching a new player- this is a great place to start!

Another great course for beginners or intermediate players. The wide variety of hole shots allows you to hone your skills while not having to worry about course hazards making bad shots a harsh penalty. This course does need a bit of upkeep and some signage replaced so I recommend using a disc golf course app to follow the course map.
Hap McLean

If you’re looking for a long game with a nature stroll, Hap Mclean is a great choice. Although lacking in upkeep, this park brings a new challenges that will require you to up your skill on long-distance drives and wind play.
Herman Hill Park
101 E Pawnee St, Wichita, KS 67211
This course contains nice long-range shot options along freshly cut grass. Another great course to practice your game, especially long-range drives. Note, however, that this park is known for its homeless population issue so be cautious and avoid bringing children for safety issues.
Quick Tip!
Dics golf courses can be hard to navigate, especially if you aren’t familiar with the flow. Knowing where the next hole is, or even where your current hole’s basket is located can be especially difficult at courses with a thick tree canopy. My advice to assist you with your game is to download a Disc Golfer app such as UDisc and PGDA, . Apps and websites such as these not only have course maps, but you can read and leave reviews on each course profile as well as receive course details such as hole count, park amenities, and course ranking. In addition to these great perks, many of them offer the current course conditions before you plan your visit.
