Going to the Dog Park is a great way for your fur babies to  explore, exercise, and socialize. This is very important for our four legged friends. Plus, it is always good to see your dog having fun and it gets you out of the house as well!

Best Dog Parks in & around Wichita

Just Remember:

  • Always clean up after your dog
  • Your dog must be at least 5 months old and have the rabies vaccine
  • Always stay in the park with your dog
  • Don’t take your dog out for a walk if it is too hot outside
  • Keep the collar on the dog and the leash with you at all times

LW Clapp Dog Park

The dog park is part of a transformed former golf course that has been rebuilt into a vibrant community space. New features include Wichita’s first inclusive playground, a striking public art sculpture, and improved walking trails. 

  • The dog park is located on the opposite end of the park at 1950 S. Bluff St.

W.B. Harrison Dog Park

Has a fenced-in dog park and separate areas for both large and small dogs. The greater park is home to plenty of walking paths, a baseball field, and a playground to walk around with your pooch.

Murfin Dog Park
Right beside the Kansas Humane Society is the Murfin Dog Park.

  • 3 fenced-in enclosures (1.03-acre, .95 acre, and .91 acres of play areas)
  • Shaded picnic tables
  • Water stations
  • Waste removal stations

K-9 Rooster Dog Park

Formally named ‘Meridian Dog Park’ City Council changed the name to commemorate a fallen
Officer Canine Rooster. Rooster was shot and killed on March 19th after spending five years of
duty with the Wichita Police Department.

K9 Rooster Dog Park Wichita

Chapin/Ashley Park
This park was named after the first dog that was brought into the fire department’s canine unit
back in 1994. Chapin Park was also the very first dog park and it is used by the Wichita Radio
Control Club which flies model airplanes. Not only can your dog run free, but there is a walking trail for you and your dog to explore as well.

Chapin Ashley Dog Park

Naftzger Bark Park
Just north of Intrust Bank Arena is Naftzer Park. This Park hosts many events year-round and is
surrounded by restaurants, some with outdoor dining, shops, and wonderful scenery for you
and your pup to explore downtown Wichita.

Naftzger Bark Park Dog Park

Haysville Dog Park
Similar to Chapin Park, Haysville Dog Park also gives you the option to walk a trail with your
pup. You can also let them roam free in one of the two enclosures.

  • 2 fenced-in enclosures (1.3 acres and 1.6 acres of play area)
  • Hike and bike path
  • Shaded seating
  • Restroom facility
