The 2017 Fall Blues Crawl is Sunday, September 24 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. A $10 wristband gets you into seven venues plus the After Party featuring Hurricane Ruth.
The Blues Crawl is really a good time with some great music. You won’t want to miss it. My husband and I attended the spring crawl one year with some friends. Not only did we enjoy the music, it was also an opportunity to discover some of the Old Town venues we had never been to. And ten bucks for all of the bands is a great deal. This is one of the best ways to spend a Sunday evening in Wichita, hands down!
Get your wristband at any of the Blues Crawl venues (I’ve listed them below), then visit each location in Old Town to hear a variety of blues performers from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Later, enjoy an after party back at The Brickyard from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Several of the venues allow entry to those under 21 for the Crawl portion of the evening, but the after party is 21 and older only.
Wristbands are available at all participating venues or at a booth set up in Old Town Farm and Art Market Plaza. All of the venues are within easy walking distance of each other, and the Old Town Plaza is pretty much centrally located, so you may want to find parking there or in the lot just south of it on Douglas Ave. (between Rock Island and Mosley).
The Wichita Blues Crawl is held twice a year and showcases a variety of styles that make up the blues genre. The crawl serves as a fundraiser to help the non-profit Wichita Blues Society revitalize the blues scene here in Wichita.
