Kansas Aviation Museum is now offering half-price admission for seniors on Wednesdays.
The museum building itself is historic and definitely worth a look, having once been Wichita’s old airport and one of the busiest airports in the nation.
Wichita was also a major destination for nearly every aviation luminary of the times. Charles Lindbergh, Kansas’ own Amelia Earhart and many other celebrities crossed the ramp, admired the beautiful art deco terminal and dined in its cafeteria. The story is even told that Fred Astaire once entertained fellow passengers by dancing in the atrium while awaiting a flight. ~ Kansas Aviation Museum website
On Wednesdays, everyone 55+ will be able to spend all day (from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) exploring the museum for only $4.25!
Note: Deals like this are subject to change, as always, so be sure to double-check with the museum before you head out.
The museum also has a special free educational program for seniors on the second Thursday of every month. You can read about it here: Senior Thursdays at the Kansas Aviation Museum.
