I know that some kids think the words “old” and “museum” shouldn’t be in the same sentence, let alone exist. But hey, don’t judge a book by its cover because Old Cowtown is awesome no matter what the name is.
It’s totally interactive. My friend and I went, and we had so much fun. We learned how people in the “olden days” washed clothes and we got to wash them too. We also got to make butter. Then we toured the buildings. One of our favorites was the church, where we got to play piano. Surprisingly, it was still in tune.
Next we visited the horses and got to pet them. They were absolutely beautiful and sweet. We left the livery and walked on the railroad tracks.
Then we checked out the hotel. We went to get a sarsaparilla in the saloon and got up on stage, pretending to be actors. Then we moseyed down to the jail. After that we were tired, so we sat down on some hay bales that were set up along Main Street and watched a good ol’ gun fight.
Finally, we took a nice ride in the wagon where we sat right next to the driver and he brought us up to the gate. Our adventure in Old Cowtown had come to an end. Sadly we went back to the present time where we drove home. This day in Cowtown I will surely never forget.
