Is there anything better than saving money on a great book? How about saving lots of money on lots of books at the Spring Book Sale at the Wichita Public Library?
You know the library is moving when its new Advanced Learning Library location opens up at 711 W. Second Street. Well, in preparation for that move, the Friends of the Wichita Public Library will hold a “Moving Blowout – Everything Must Go” Used Book Sale March 7-10, 2018 in its used book store at the Central library.
ALL books in the sale (which you’ll find in the 3rd floor auditorium) will be on sale for $5/bag!
There will be thousands of gently used (some look practically new!) books in just about every genre for readers of any age.
The Friends of the Library takes pride in the high quality books they offer. There will be DIY books, history, religion, health, self-help, fiction, romance, business, non-fiction, biographies, crafts, art, music, coffee table books, children’s books, and other genres.
This year there’s a new twist! In the past, most books were priced at $1 or less, and the last day of the sale was the bag sale—shoppers would bring their own bag and fill it for $5. But this year is even better! Every day of the sale is bag day!
The sale will begin on Wednesday night with a preview night for Friends of the Library Members. If you are not a member and would like early admission to the sale, memberships will be available at the door.
Thursday through Saturday, you’ll be able to shop thousands of well-organized, gently-used books in every category imaginable. Plastic bags will be provided for you or you can bring your Friends of the Library reusable tote if you have one. ALL BOOKS will be sold for $5 per bag!
Proceeds from book sales support programs and services at our Wichita public libraries.
