Is there anything better than saving money on a great book? How about saving lots of money on lots of books at the Used Book Bag Sale at the Wichita Public Library?
This will be their FIRST sale in the new Advanced Learning Library location. Please tell me you’ve visited at least once by now. If you haven’t, rectify that situation immediately; the new library is one of the coolest things I’ve seen so far.
The Friends of the Wichita Public Library used book bag sale will be held in the library’s main floor Conference Center (just across the hall from the coffee shop).
That’s a huge room.
And ALL books in the sale will be on sale for $5/bag! Bring your FWPL tote bag and fill it for $5, or use one of the plastic shopping bags they’ll have available for free at the sale.
There will be plenty of gently used (some look practically new!) books in just about every genre for readers of any age.
The Friends of the Library takes pride in the high quality books they offer. There will be DIY books, history, religion, health, self-help, fiction, romance, business, non-fiction, biographies, crafts, art, music, coffee table books, children’s books, and other genres.
In the past, most books were priced at $1 or less, and the last day of the sale was the bag sale—shoppers would bring their own bag and fill it for $5. But this sale is even better! The whole sale is “bag day!”
The November sale is only one day long. Members of the Friends of the Library will get early access and the best selection from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. If you are not a member and would like early admission to the sale, memberships will be available at the door.
Then throughout the rest of the day, you’ll be able to shop thousands of well-organized, gently-used books in every category imaginable. Plastic bags will be provided for you or you can bring your Friends of the Library reusable tote if you have one. ALL BOOKS will be sold for $5 per bag!
