National Free Shipping Day is an annual event in the United States where participating retailers offer free shipping on orders with guaranteed delivery by Christmas Eve. It’s usually held in mid-December, and its purpose is to encourage online shopping and boost sales during the holiday season. This year its on December 14, 2024.
Retailers often join this event to attract last-minute holiday shoppers by eliminating shipping costs, making it an appealing day for consumers to make online purchases without the additional expense of shipping fees. Keep in mind that participation can vary among retailers, and some may have specific terms and conditions. National Free Shipping Day was launched in 2008.
