Help the Kansas Aviation Museum (KAM) celebrate National Aviation Day with an afternoon of discounts in the gift shop, half-price admission for seniors, and touring the planes!
On August 19th, come check out the beautiful building, the airplanes and all it has to offer. They’ll have the FedEx Boeing 727 and KC-135 planes open and available to tour – as long as the weather permits – from noon until 2 p.m.
The art deco style of the building will take you back in time to the “glory days of Kansas aviation”. What is now the Kansas Aviation Museum was once Wichita’s main airport in the 1930s and 40s – known as Wichita Municipal-ICT. In the 1940’s, it was one of the busiest airports in the nation.
Museum docents will be available to answer any questions you may have.
In addition to gift shop discounts and half price admission for seniors 55+ on National Aviation Day, KAM will offer additional specials (stay tuned).
The Kansas Aviation Museum will be open from noon to 5 p.m. and is located at 3350 S. George Washington Blvd. in Wichita, KS.
