Museum of World Treasures Customer Appreciation Day

It’s an event we look forward to each year around back to school time. The Museum of World Treasures Customer Appreciation Day is an opportunity to explore all the strange, quirky, fascinating and fun artifacts collected right here in Wichita, Kansas at a discount!

The museum houses an eclectic collection that defies description – you can see John Wayne’s suit, an Egyptian mummy, a shrunken head, dinosaurs, western memorabilia, items from military history, and more. If you haven’t been yet, this is a great opportunity. At this price it’s a real bargain.

On Customer Appreciation Day, admission is discounted to just $5. But that’s not the only reason to go! They always have lots of activities and educational presentations as well. It’s a great day to visit, and at almost 70% off the regular adult admission price, it’s a great deal!

Customer Appreciation Day is fun for people of all ages with activities for kids as well as adults.

This year, the Museum of World Treasures Customer Appreciation Day will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022. Admission includes entry, crafts and activities, learning opportunities with staff and Wichita Princesses Megara and Mirabel will be there from 1-3pm.

Two other perks you’ll get on Customer Appreciation Day are 30% off on memberships and museum branded items in the Museum Store. (They often have kids’ programs that are free with membership – ask them about what they have planned for this year.)

Do bring your camera, but ask the staff about where photography is available and make sure to turn off the flash. Flash can damage these ancient treasures and we don’t want to do that!

The Old Town Farmer’s Market will also be open on Saturday morning, right outside the front door of the museum, so show up early to enjoy that too.
