It’s been an annual event since 1873! The 2019 Mulvane Old Settlers Days celebration will be held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 16, 17, and 18.
Events will include a road race, carnival, arts and crafts fair, parade, talent show, turtle races and more.
A $3 button can be purchased at many Mulvane-area businesses. (Speaking of Mulvane businesses, don’t miss $6 propane refills from Wayman Oil the week before the Old Settlers celebration!)
Most of the activities will be on Friday and Saturday and most will be held either within walking distance of the park or in the park itself, which is at 3rd and Main, so you can probably find a spot along the street to park. Bring your lawn chairs and come ready to enjoy the small-town festivities.
Friday is Wristband Day at the carnival. A $25 wristband allows you to ride all the rides for one price from noon to 4 p.m.
On Saturday, the parade starts at 11 a.m. Get there early and find a good spot to set up your lawn chairs. Activities continue all day in the park area, and Saturday evening there’s a Street Dance with live music from 9 p.m. to midnight.
The festival closes on Sunday with a golf tournament at Hidden Lakes Golf Course, 6020 S. Greenwich Rd.
