The City of Wichita Park and Recreation is bringing back this awesome service!
Oops – this has been postponed. I believe you can still rent kayaks on the river from Boats and Bikes. And you can definitely rent kayaks at O.J. Watson Park during regular business hours.
Enjoy a nice day on the water with kayaks for rent. Kayak rentals will be available on Saturdays and Sundays through early September.
The kayak rental fee is $10/hour. You can rent a kayak at any time between 10-2 p.m., no reservation needed! Life jackets are included in the $10 rental fee.
Rent your kayak at the old Gander Mountain boat launch underneath Kellogg. It’s first-come, first-served, so if you want to ensure your paddling fun, get there on the earlier end of that time range.
