Celebrate Kansas Day at the Great Plains Nature Center. They are hosting an event that is FREE to attend! My daughter and I attended a previous Kansas Day celebration and really enjoyed this indoor event. We still have the birdhouse they gave out for FREE.
Great Plains Nature Center will host a fun day to celebrate 164 of Kansas history and 25 years of the GPNC on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This free, all-ages, inside event will include free games, crafts, trivia, and a Naturalist program at 11 a.m. They’ll give us a sneak peek of their 2025 events and unveil a brand new program guide. Plus, the new theme of the year will be announced.
What to Expect at the Kansas Day Celebration:
- Kansas Trivia
- Crafts and activities
- A Naturalist chat about Kansas at 11am
- The 2025 Annual Guide Reveal!
- Volunteer and Membership Opportunities
Also, at the nature center, be sure to look for the GPNC’s many free publications about wildlife and natural plants in Kansas. The free full-color guides are filled with information and photographs to help you identify native Kansas species.
