- Smith County is the Geographical Center of the Contiguous 48 states. You can visit a sign and stand in the middle of the 48 states!
- Helium was discovered at the University of Kansa in 1905.
- People have lived here for at least 12,000 years.
- The Kansas State Fair is an annual event held in Hutchinson, showcasing the best of Kansas agriculture, art, and entertainment. They have carnival rides, live music, delicious fair food, and fun exhibits, it’s a must-visit event for families and visitors of all ages!
- Mount Sunflower is the highest point in Kansas.
